Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups: DGB & K-Willy and More

The waiver wire of week 10 has far less to offer compared to the fire sale that was week 9, but there are still a few gems that we have our eyes on this week.

*percentage owned statistics comes from Yahoo fantasy leagues

Dorial Green-Beckham 13% Owned

Week 9 Stats: 10 Targets 5 Reception 77 Yards

With Kendall Wright out the freakish athletic rookie finally got his opportunity in week 9. His 10 targets look incredibly promising for a late season breakout. Standing at 6'6" Green-Beckham can also look to see potential red zone targets. If Kendall Wright continues to miss time, look for Green-Beckham to begin his late season breakout campaign.  However potential owners should be wary as Green-Beckham and Titans will be facing a tough match up in Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers. Despite this the possibility of  Green-Beckham's potential finally unraveling makes him the top pickup this week.

Recommended FAAB Bid: 5-20%

Karlos Williams  38% Owned

Week 9 Stats: 9 Rushing Attempts 110 Yards  2 TDs

Karlos Williams had a huge week coming back from his four week absence since his concussion. Williams picked up from where he left off as he picked up another rushing TDs. With McCoy leaving the game with a shoulder injury in the second half of the Dolphins game, Williams could be slated to start on Thursday night against the New York Jets. The possibility of getting a quality starting running back in the league is what make Karlos William in appetizing pickup this week.

Recommended FAAB Bid: 5-20%

James Starks 41% Owned

Week 9 Stats: 10 Rushing Attempts 39 Rushing Yards, 8 Targets 6 Receptions 83 Yards 1 TD

It feels like every season James Starks puts together a nice couple of games that make him an interesting mid season pick up. Starks has always been an inconsistent performer but because of Eddie Lacy's rough season thus far, Starks has become the back to own in Green Bay for now (until Lacy inevitably finds his groove). Starks and the Packers face a struggling Detroit squad where Starks definitely has the potential to put up some solid production in week 10. Just don't get too attached since Lacy is prone to break out of his funk sooner or later.

Recommended FAAB Bid: 2-10%

James White/Brandon Bolden

With Dion Lewis out for the season with an ACL tear someone in New England will look to take over as the passing downs back for Tom Brady's offense. Although Brandon Bolden got the touchdown reception last week, James White appears to have the first chance to take over the role. If you need a Lewis replacement pick one of them and hope they'll be the one who claim the job. This week both of these guys are just potential flier pick ups to see what will happen.

Recommended FAAB: 0-5%

Antonio Andrews 51% Owned

Week 9 Stats: 19 Rushing Attempts 88 Yards,  2 Targets 1 Reception 23 Yards

You've probably already heard of Antonio Andrews and not paid too much attention to him. Well you should. He isn't the sexiest pickup or an explosive runner who can bust a 20 yard run out of nowhere. What he is though is a solid starting running back in the NFL. Under new head coach Mike Mularkey the Titans appeared to be more of a one back offense. Andrews looks to be a consistent 80-100 total yards for the rest of the season. He won't be a sexy pick up, but his consistent points could be what wins your league.

Recommended FAAB: 5-15%

Kamar Aiken 41% Owned

Week 9 Stats: Bye

Yeah Kamar was on his bye week, I know so what. He's probably still available in your league. Given a pretty weak selection of players to choose from this week, Kamar looks like a solid pick up. Joe Flacco has to throw to someone and it really looks like Kamar Aiken will be the guy. Obviously not a wide receiver one type talent, but he'll be thrust into the role and it definitely looks like targets are going his way starting this week.

Recommended FAAB Bid: 0-5% *if he's available you can probably pick him up for nothing

The Rest: (Wait and see)

Cole Beasley: He had a big game last week, but if anything it's most likely a fluke I would be wary about adding him. Take a wait and see approach to him.

Devin Funchess: He's another wait and see guy. Targets are usually a good indicator of potential upside. The problem with Funchess is the lack of targets really concern me. Given that prior to this week he really has not done anything noteworthy, I'll wait on him.

Wes Welker: He just signed with St. Louis Rams. Honestly I think this is a non-story. This is basically the equivalent of the Vernon Davis trade a couple of days ago. Don't be in a rush to pick him up. People always are enamored with that brand new toy, don't fall into that hype. The Rams are a run first offense and Welker will not make any immediate impacts.
